Frequently Asked Questions

PRIVATE STUDIO ROOMS: 

All lessons are held in fully private rooms. The couple is alone with the instructor in a comfortable studio with a sprung floor and mirrors. The couple has complete control of the music played and does not share space or music equipment with other couples. 

INDIVIDUAL LESSONS without a partner are also popular and useful for those looking to develop skills on their own.

LESSON DURATION: 

Lessons are 55 minutes in length. Longer or shorter sessions can also be arranged.  Sessions are scheduled for 1 hour to accommodate any unexpected delays,

MATERIAL COVERED:  

The instructor will work with the couple to assess their goals and desires for their dance, and to help with song selection if needed. A couple or individual can expect to learn the fundamentals of leading and following, how to hear music, and how to dance to the beat of their chosen song(s). 

A complete dance will be created for each couple tailored to their personality, music choice,  dance floor size,  wedding gown, and overall stye of the venue and day.

SONG SELECTION: 

Some couples arrive with a single song pre-selected or several songs to narrow down. The choice of the dance then follows from the timing and beat of the music. For couples unsure of a song, we can provide suggestions, guidance to helpful websites, and demonstrate dances to popular song genres. A demonstration of several dances can often assist a couple in selecting a song that matches their style and tastes. 

CANCELLATION POLICY: 

Please contact us 24 hours before the lesson to reschedule. 

Studios are reserved specifically for each couple at the appointed time. 

There is a $25 cancellation fee for lessons canceled before 24 hours - no exceptions. Thank you for understanding.

PAYMENT POLICY: 

Lesson packages are discounted and must be paid in full on the second lesson. 

We advise couples to take a single lesson, then make a decision on further lessons. The first lesson can be rolled over into a package on the second lesson of a series. 

Additional lessons after package completion are the single lesson price. 

PAYMENT METHODS:

Payments are accepted online or in-person via check, cash, or Venmo.

REFUNDS: 

We do not issue refunds for lessons or gift certificates. There are no exceptions. 

In the event of an emergency or unused lesson time, we will provide studio credit for up to one year from the purchase date.
